Hector Cluster

Hector Cluster is TN Solutions' own compute infrastructure: the brain that every service in the Hector ecosystem runs on — Hector-ai, Hector Lis and Hector Biz. It is our answer to a question every company should ask before adopting AI: where does my data end up?

Why it exists

Most artificial intelligence services run their models on third-party clouds, often outside the European Union, on terms that can change and with data flows that are hard to verify. Hector Cluster takes the opposite approach: open-source models running on our own infrastructure, which we design, manage and protect directly. AI under the direct control of the company that provides it — and therefore verifiable by the people who use it.

What it is built on

The Cluster is built on technologies we have been using for years on our clients' systems: Proxmox virtualisation, open-source models run through Ollama, a perimeter protected by pfSense, and Linux environments. This is not exotic technology assembled for the occasion: it is the same stack we keep in production every day, applied to artificial intelligence.

What it means for the people who use our services

For clients of the Hector services, this comes down to three concrete things. First: knowing where their data lives and who can access it. Second: infrastructure maintained under the processes of an ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified company. Third: freedom from licensing lock-in and from the unilateral changes of terms imposed by the big providers — when the model and the infrastructure are under direct control, nobody can switch off the lights from outside.

The Cluster and the products

Each product in the ecosystem uses the Cluster in its own way: Hector-ai runs the models that answer from clients' content, Hector Lis continuously processes the monitoring signals, and Hector Biz keeps the business data safe, with managed backups.

One important clarification: Hector Cluster is not for sale, either as a service or as an application. It is the infrastructure we deliver the three products on, and the only way to "buy" it is through them. This page exists because anyone evaluating our services has the right to know what they run on.

Frequently asked questions about Hector Cluster

Can I buy Hector Cluster for my company?

No: the Cluster is not for sale, either as a service or as an application. It is the proprietary infrastructure we use to deliver Hector-ai, Hector Lis and Hector Biz — you benefit from it through those services.

Which models does it run?

Open-source models, run through Ollama on Linux environments virtualised with Proxmox. Choosing open source is a deliberate decision: it lets us control, update and verify what we run, without depending on the terms of an outside vendor.

Is the data that passes through the Cluster protected?

The infrastructure is designed, managed and protected directly by us, with a pfSense perimeter and the processes of an ISO 27001 certified company. Data protection is not delegated to third parties: it is part of our everyday work.

Why don't you use the big cloud providers for AI?

Because direct control of the infrastructure is the whole point of the Hector ecosystem: knowing where the data lives, who can access it and on what terms. The big clouds have their place for other workloads, but for AI on companies' confidential data we chose a path we can vouch for ourselves.

Does the Cluster have anything to do with my company's regulatory compliance?

Knowing where your data lives and who processes it is a concrete prerequisite for GDPR obligations and — for organisations affected by NIS2, including as suppliers — for answering supply-chain audits. It is not a shortcut to compliance, but it makes the answers simpler and easier to document.
