Introduction

Modernized Design

The design of various elements is now sleeker and more intuitive. When you open a new window, you'll notice a clear division: navigation tabs are on the left, and the workspace is on the right, with more detailed icons.

One of the major changes involves the Start Menu, which now features a search bar at the top for quick web and system searches. Below, you'll find recently and frequently used apps, along with a link to access installed programs.

Widgets and live tiles have been moved to a dedicated section, streamlining the interface.

Key Features and Updates in Windows 11

Widget Screen: On the right side of the desktop, you’ll find the new Widgets Screen. This can be accessed by clicking on the icon in the taskbar. The widget panel is customizable, allowing you to add or remove widgets based on your preferences. Popular widgets include the calendar, sports scores, weather updates, and reminders. Depending on your device’s location, it may also display local news.

You can also personalize the theme of Windows 11, with six available options, including dark mode settings that can be adjusted to your liking.

Multitasking Enhancements

Windows 11 introduces significant improvements to multitasking, crucial for both work and entertainment. The system now offers enhanced support for external displays, making window positioning more efficient.

When you hover over the maximize button, you can easily arrange your windows in different configurations, such as:

• Two equally-sized windows side by side

• Three windows arranged horizontally

• Four windows in a grid

• Other advanced window snapping layouts for optimized multitasking.

Window Positioning on Multiple Displays

Windows 11 intelligently remembers the position and layout of windows when connected to external monitors. If a monitor is disconnected and later reconnected, Windows 11 will restore the windows to their previous positions. This feature helps maintain workflow continuity, especially when using multiple screens for productivity.

Microsoft Teams Integration

Windows 11 includes built-in Microsoft Teams integration, streamlining communication. Unlike previous versions, you no longer need to launch the application separately. Teams is now directly accessible from the taskbar, where you can quickly send messages and make calls. Conversations are saved and can be resumed at any time. Microsoft has also reached out to Apple to bring iMessage to Windows, aiming to enhance cross-platform connectivity.
