TN Solutions holds ISO/IEC 27001 certification for its Information Security Management System, awarded by an independent certification body following an audit of our risk management, controls and data protection processes.

What ISO/IEC 27001 certification means

ISO/IEC 27001 is the international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). It sets out requirements for identifying, assessing and treating risks related to the protection of information — whether that's client data, company know-how, or confidential information handled on behalf of third parties.

Unlike a simple checklist of technical measures, ISO/IEC 27001 requires a systematic approach: risk assessment, a coherent set of controls (the standard's Annex A), ongoing monitoring and periodic management review. Compliance is verified by an independent, external certification body through regular audits.

Why it matters for an IT company

For a company delivering IT services, information security isn't a side topic — it's at the heart of the trust relationship with clients, who often give an IT provider access to critical systems, networks and data. ISO/IEC 27001 matters for several reasons:

• Structured risk management: every information risk — unauthorised access, data loss, system unavailability — is identified, assessed and treated through a repeatable method, not on a case-by-case basis.
• Confidentiality, integrity and availability: the three pillars of information security are protected by concrete controls over access, backups, business continuity and incident management.
• An increasingly common supply-chain requirement: clients, partners and public bodies are asking more and more often for ISO/IEC 27001 as a minimum guarantee before entrusting data and systems to an external provider.
• Support for clients' own compliance journeys: many organisations today need to align with regulations such as the NIS2 Directive. An IT provider certified to ISO/IEC 27001 already has risk and incident management processes in place that can support clients along their own compliance path, while each organisation remains responsible for its own regulatory compliance.
• A genuine security culture: the standard requires ongoing staff training and awareness, not just technical tools.
